How Our Network Works
Who You Will Talk To
After you send a request, an independent provider in our network contacts you. That provider is a local business, not Operadesignated Floor Coating. The provider answers your questions, visits the floor if needed, and sends a written quote.
What the Provider May Ask
Expect a short list of questions. Have answers ready.
- What is the floor made of: bare concrete, old coating, or wood?
- About how big is the space?
- Are there cracks, stains, or damp spots?
- Does the floor get salt, oil, or standing water?
- What look do you want? Think color, flakes, or other custom floor finishes.
- What is your timeline?
Questions to Put to a Provider
Use this list on every call:
1. First, how will you prep the surface? 2. How many coats, and what products? 3. How long before I can walk on it, and drive on it? 4. Who handles crack repair and moisture checks? 5. Are you licensed and insured where I live? Can I see proof? 6. What does the written quote include and leave out? 7. What does the warranty cover, in writing?
Keep Your Paperwork Together
Save photos, notes, quotes, and receipts in one folder. Add dates. If damage from a leak or a sudden event affected the floor, some policies may cover it, so check your policy. Providers can often help document damage for a claim.
The Decision Is Yours
Next, compare quotes side by side. Look at scope, materials, and prep, not only the total. Typical U.S. prices vary by job, so ask why two numbers differ. You can say no to any provider. Operadesignated Floor Coating does not pick for you.
